NVE is an electronics component manufacturer specializing in the combination of magnetically-sensitive materials with integrated circuits. This new solid-state magnetic technology is characterized by high sensitivity to magnetic fields coupled with small size and low power. NVE has applied these technologies to magnetic sensors, isolators and Magnetoresistive Random Access Memory (MRAM). Since its founding in 1989 with technology from Honeywell International, NVE has become a recognized world leader in magnetically sensitive material research. In 1994, NVE introduced the world's first products using Giant Magnetoresistive (GMR) material. This product line, magnetic field sensors, is used for position, magnetic media, wheel speed and current sensing applications.

Similarly, in 1999, NVE introduced its IsoLoop® product line of high-speed digital isolators for communications, industrial controls and computer applications. These 100 megabaud opto- replacement isolators are the fastest available in the world.
