NXP Semiconductors N.V., a provider of cellular infrastructure, announced the strategic alignment following the merger of NXP and Freescale of comprehensive products and technologies to meet the complete system challenges of 5G. NXP’s comprehensive portfolio of low and high power RF technologies are being combined to address 5G demands of bandwidth, linearity, power-efficiency and small form factor solutions.

Kontron, a provider of Embedded Computing Technology (ECT), announced their partnership and licensing agreement with SQLstream, a provider of streaming analytics solutions, to extend Kontron’s cloud based embedded device service platform with real-time analytics and automated action. The partnership supports Kontron’s approach to providing an enhanced IoT platform for integrated security and analytics.

Using the Kontron and SQLstream solution, enterprises in any industry can acquire live data from embedded devices, analyze and visualize it, and automate actions throughout their device management IoT service lifecycle.

Tata Communications, a provider of new world of communications, has launched Data Roaming Boost, a global service that enables mobile network operators and service providers to deliver a significantly improved mobile internet experience for their customers.

With Data Roaming Boost, mobile network operators can avoid a multi-party hand-off and connect their customers to the Internet using the closest Tata Communications’ globally deployed points-of-presence. Initial tests by Tata Communications returned results showing that Data Roaming Boost provides a 130 percent improvement in connectivity speeds compared with the traditional approach of routing traffic back to the mobile operator’s home network.

Cheetah Mobile has teamed up with CUBOT to launch CheetahPhone, its first branded mobile device.

The device is powered by Clean Master software, which cleans junk files, optimizes the device's memory, manages installed apps, and provides complete protection against viruses to improve performance and increase battery life. The phone also includes an ARM 64-bit octa-core CPU, 3Gb of RAM, 32 GB of storage space, and a 13MP rear Samsung camera and 8MP front selfie camera.

The phone will come in gold, rose gold and space grey and will be available in all European Union countries in the coming months.
