Advantech: new impetus to development thanks to the IoT

After celebrating the 25th anniversary of its presence in Europe, Advantech wants to give a new impetus to development, focusing more on the IoT.

The company aims to achieve a turnover of 350 million euros across Europe by 2025 and is accelerating the development of branches throughout the territory, to better enhance its 25 years of local experience in the sector. In addition, the company is adopting a new co-creation model to build the industrial IoT ecosystem (IIoT) and strengthen its presence in various vertical application domains.

The renewed attention to these markets will culminate with the "IoT Co-Creation Summit" event scheduled for 1 and 2 November 2018 in Suzhou (China), where the new perspectives for the next phase of development of the IoT market.

"The recognition of the Advantech brand in the IoT and Industry 4.0 sector has grown significantly across Europe," says Hans-Peter Nüdling, associate vice president of IoT. "The company has recently opened a new European Service Center in Eindhoven. The completion of this center is the first step of Advantech to become the most complete IoT solution provider in Europe ".

The structures of this European headquarters, expanded according to the standards of efficiency, also include a warehouse and a production plant. The company employs around 400 people in Europe and has a strong presence in 10 European countries. A new branch was inaugurated in Stockholm last year.

In the next three years Advantech will seek to strengthen branch operations in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands; set up branches in emerging European locations to develop commercial activities and provide technical support; and focus on key sectors, such as machine and plant automation, medical, transport and automotive, as well as expanding its presence in Germany, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
