Infineon Technologies Co., Ltd. expanded the IGBT module EconoPIM 3 package series, the new module rated current increased by 50%, from 100A to 150A. The new power modules meet the increasing demand for higher power densities in the same package size. Typical applications include motor control in elevators, escalators, fans or pumps.

EconoPIM module features a high degree of integration of the various functions, such as each module contains three-phase rectifier, brake chopper, three-phase inverter, and for measuring the temperature of the NTC thermistor. The new EconoPIM 3 has a blocking voltage of 1200 V and a maximum rated current of 150 A, the highest current specification in the market at the same level.You can buy it from electronic component distributors.

The chassis is equipped with a floor that conforms to industry-standard sizes and can be used directly to replace existing designs. In motor applications, the EconoPIM 3 delivers up to 30% of the output power in the same size space. This module integrates IGBT4 wafer with Trenchstop technology, the technology of high durability and reliability has passed the empirical test.

Availability

The new EconoPIM module with 1200 V / 150 A specification offers two options for soldering pin or pressFIT pin for all versions of IGBT4 wafers with Trenchstop technology. In addition, the module can also choose to use the cooling interface material (TIM). The new power module has started mass production and the samples are open for ordering.
