AMD Grabbed The Market Share Of Intel By Ryzen Microchip

Author:OMO Release Date: 2017年7月6日

Semiconductor company AMD in the introduction of new Ryzen microchip, the X86 processor chip market share has increased. The new data comes from PassMark Software's CPU benchmarking service, which records thousands of benchmarks per day. PassMark data show that since 2006, people want to fight against Intel's top AMD microprocessor interest has been continuing to decline. Last year, Intel's market share just over 80%, while the long-term rival AMD market share is only 18%.

However, in 2017, AMD reached its biggest market share in nearly 11 years, rising from 18.1% in the first quarter of this year to 26.2% in the third quarter. At the same time, Intel's market share has dropped to 73.8%.

PassMark only records data for x86 microprocessor benchmarks, which are dominated by Intel and AMD. It should also be noted that although the test showed that the interest rate of AMD's new Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 microprocessors earlier this year was greatly improved, PassMark provided data for unrelated sales. If you want to learn more information about chip components, please go to omoelec.com.

All along, AMD has been promoting its Ryzen chip features, and in 2017 through a series of release, revealing and presentation to show its new microchip technology. AMD launched the Ryzen 7 series in March, followed by the April Ryzen 5 chip. This summer, it also plans to launch Ryzen 3 microprocessors.

Although it takes several years, AMD's Ryzen chip seems to have had a real impact on igniting the CPU market-intensive war. If this trend continues, AMD may even dream of going back to the beginning of the 21st century with Intel almost go hand in hand.
