Cadence Released A New VirtualBridge ™ Adapter

Author:OMO Release Date: 2017年6月21日

Today Cadence announced the release of the new VirtualBridge ™ adapter. Compared to traditional RTL simulation, VirtualBridge ™ adapters based on virtual simulation technology can speed up the software in the pre-silicon verification phase. At the same time, the VirtualBridge adapter complements the In-Circuit emulation application model, allowing the software designer to begin pre-silicon software validation work three months in advance through the Cadence® Palladium® Z1 enterprise-class simulation platform.

The VirtualBridge adapter is a value-added software provided by the Palladium Z1 platform to maximize the benefits of hardware by extending the customer application model. Engineers can interact with peripherals in a virtual environment without flexibility in the physical environment; in addition, the new virtual debugging capabilities to further enhance the existing physical debugging means to support repeated debugging and control error injection (error injection ), Greatly improving the efficiency of the entire platform debugging. Integrate authentication tasks into online and virtual simulation modes and seamless integration with other Cadence tools such as the Palladium Hybrid, which enable the design team to maximize hardware investment and reduce software startup time.

"Virtual simulation is the core competency of software-driven hardware verification and system verification," said Dr. Anirudh Devgan, Executive Vice President and Minister of Digital and Signing Division and Systems and Validation Division, Cadence. "The VirtualBridge adapter works with the Palladium Z1 emulator to help users further shorten the development cycle and bring products to market quickly."

The VirtualBridge Adapter is a new member of the Cadence Verification Suite that supports the Cadence System Design Enablement strategy to help systems and semiconductor companies more efficiently create complete and differentiated end products. The Cadence Verification Suite includes industry-leading core engines, proven architecture technologies and solutions to improve design quality, increase throughput, and meet proven needs for a wide range of applications and vertical markets. For more information, please go to electronic parts website.

"The Cadence VirtualBridge adapter helps us easily implement complex configurations for multiple GPUs," said Narendra Konda, director of NVIDIA's hardware engineering design. "It complements the online simulation test with the Palladium Z1 platform, allowing us to perform software applications and drive tests early in the development process."
