MediaTek Launched Single-Chip MT5597 To Support 4K TV

Today MediaTek announced the availability of the 4K (Ultra HD) smart TV system, the single-chip MT5597, to support the latest high dynamic range technology (HDR) standards in the market, including Dolby Vision HDR and HLK (Hybrid Log-Gamma), which was jointly launched by the British BBC and NHK, Specifications, to bring a new generation of smart TV breakthrough picture of the bright sense, color and contrast, so that the image more lifelike, a substantial upgrade to the consumer TV viewing experience.

The MT5597 is equipped with a 64-bit ARM® Cortex ™ ultra-low-power processor for the best possible experience with minimal power consumption. Built-in high-performance ARM® Mali ™ -450 GPU maximizes utilization during image processing Idle resources, and then the power consumption and bandwidth requirements to a minimum. MT5597 support Google VP9 and HEVC codec, can be 60 frames per second speed 4K audio and video streaming, not only video playback is smooth, while providing 10 bit color depth (Color depth), so that consumers see the image color Colorful, closer to the naked eye.
